Well the opportunity for the Reign program to be civic minded presented itself whit a chance to hold a clinic for the Girl Scouts. We had a great turnout of about 35 young girls rearing to go. The group was broke up into three stations, shooting, passing and dribbling. It was a great opportunity for us to expose our program to the community and to hopefully future players and by working with a fine organization like the Girl scouts we feel we both benefited. It was motivating to see the look on the faces as the girls learned new skills that until this point probably had not had.
We want to thank the South Seattle Girl Scouts of America for bringing her troops out to the clinic, the coaches Wayne and Ron for the excellent instruction and entertainment for the scouts, our players and volunteers, Sanda, Presley, Jessica, Brittany, Sara, Anna and Daidra for pitching in and working the stations with the young lady's and for the Seattle Supers Sonics mascot "Squatch" for the special appearance and post clinic entertainment. The girls had a great time.
Once again we want to thank all the scouts and parents and "The Sonics Mascot, Squatch" for coming out and we hope to see you next year at the clinic or on some of the club basketball teams, here or in the area.
